Federal Benefits Abroad

Federal agency monthly benefit checks (Social Security Administration, Office of Personnel Management, Department of Labor, Railroad Retirement Board, Veterans Administration) are generally sent from the Department of Treasury Directly to the beneficiary.

In addition, consular officers can assist in the processing of individual benefits and claims, investigate claims on behalf of various Federal agencies, and perform other tasks needed by beneficiaries or survivors.
